Delamere CE Academy raises funds for computer equipment

PARENTS raised a glass to their athletic kids as a school’s sports day, summer fair and festival combined to raise money for computer equipment.

Youngsters from Delamere CE Academy jumped, jumped and jumped through a fun sports day before attending a summer fair, raising £1,500.

Then the annual Delamere Academy Beer, Fizz and Gin festival, organized by members of the school’s PTA, raised over £3,500.

Now the £5,000 will go towards improving the school’s IT equipment.

David Aspinall, a member of the festival’s organizing team, said: “The generosity of the community never ceases to amaze me, especially given the events of recent years.

“We have so many people to thank, it’s hard to know where to start!”

Blakemere Village Social donated the roast pork, delivered and set up the mobile bar and provided staff for the night.
