BIO-UV Group successfully installs advanced water treatment systems at Al-Bayt Stadium in Qatar

BIO-UV Group’s successful installation of advanced water treatment systems at Doha’s state-of-the-art Al-Bayt Stadium in the city of Al Khor, Qatar, has achieved the five-star sustainability rating established by the Cup FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The 63,000 capacity arena, the second largest in Qatar, has been installed with a range of advanced UV and ozone systems to treat the stadium’s changing room pools, ornate water and vast lakes.

Installed by systems integrator Watermaster Qatar and commissioned ahead of the FIFA Arab Cup in December 2021, the BIO-UV Group’s scope of supply included triogen® O3 M7-520A and O3 M6 ozone generators -WC50S, as well as triogen® CF1000 and CF220 full-flow ozone generators water treatment systems.

While a minimum amount of chlorine must be added to public swimming pools by law, using UV and ozone as a secondary source of disinfection significantly reduces chlorine demand, saves money and improves pool quality. the water.
