Ray Kinsella’s Cornfield Riddle: The Field of Dreams 34 Years Later
no-till farmer I read Mike Lessiter’s “Guest Blog” about a trip to the “Field of Dreams” farm/field in Dyersville, Iowa. After another viewing of the 34-year-old movie, the Lessiter guys got into a farm economics discussion about Ray Kinsella’s (Kevin Costner) farming issues, which had to be bigger than hearing voices in the corn. Read it here before the Cubs-Reds contest airs in Dyersville on August 11. Digital demo: new strip-till from Orthman, innovations in fertilization
Last week, our colleagues in our Conservation Ag division hosted a “digital demo” video from Orthman Manufacturing on its new 1tRIPr II strip tillage system and Tru-aPLYr dry fertilizer system. Dealers handling Orthman units – new and used – find tips for adjusting the strip-till toolbar for best results; changes for fall vs. spring applications, and service and maintenance tips.
