AC Hotel by Marriott in Southbank offers work from hotel package

Imagine this: an infinity pool with skyline views, an all-day fitness center, a bar stocked with characterful gins, and a dizzying restaurant offering tapas and fresh European-style breakfasts. Sounds like a fancy hotel or a vacation? Well, it is, but thanks to a deluxe “Work From Hotel” package from the swanky new AC Hotel by Marriott, this could also be your new home office.

Thanks to a bad combination of the third wave of Omicron, the flu and the super cold, current health advice suggests that Australians work from home when possible. But if your heart aches at the thought of dodging roommates or trying to do anything in a lackluster home office, this package arrived in no time.

Now you can swap your day office and home office to do your nine-to-five in one of Melbourne’s newest and trendiest hotels. Start your day with an intense workout at the all-day fitness center, then refuel with a fresh European breakfast at Sorolla Restaurant before you log in for the day.

Do you have a few meetings? Take them from the hotel’s heated infinity pool deck – if your camera is off, no one needs to know you’re taking a cheeky dip. And when your camera needs to be on, you can book a private meeting space at the Media Salon.

At 5 p.m., end your work day with a signature G&T at Bar Triana before retreating to your room for a well-deserved rest. Oh, and you can also bring your dog – how’s that for working from home?

Rates start from $210 per night on the AC Hotel website.
